I installed IE7 before and I was happy with it, actually I liked the tabbed browsing, it is now better even than Firefox.
But the stupid thing is that one of the important Nokia application I use for work is crashing, and I cannot get it back to work on IE7, so I decided to roll back to IE6, but…
I had a very stupid problem, after I unistalled IE7 and run IE6, each time I try to open a link or type an URL in the address bar, I cannot open it, it gives me an error message “Windows cannot find ‘(null)’” , and it opens a blank IE window. some times it just opens the link in a FireFox window?!!?!
I googled for a solution, and I found it in JonGalloway’s site , it is simply that IE7 is writing a registry code that messes up IE6. if you have this problem, simply Copy the text below, save it on a file called IE7fix.reg then run the file. then close all IE6 windows and start again, and the problem is fixed.
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
